FAQs
How many days do I need to explore Lewis & Harris?
We recommend at least 4–7 nights to see a mix of beaches, historic sites and local food spots without rushing. A week gives you time for a slower pace and weather flexibility.
Can I see both Lewis and Harris from your lodges?
Yes. With good roads connecting Lewis and Harris, you can easily visit Luskentyre, Scarista and Seilebost on Harris, as well as iconic sites like Callanish Stones and Uig Sands from your lodge base.
Do I need a car?
A car gives you the most flexibility, especially for beaches and remote walks. There are local taxis and some bus services, but for exploring widely, car transport is recommended.
Is the Hebridean weather a problem?
The weather is part of the magic. You might experience sunshine, showers and dramatic skies in a single day. Pack layers, waterproofs and a sense of adventure – then come back to a warm, comfortable lodge each night.
